Psalm 1:3
New International Version
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.Building in Purpose...Power...and Precision!
In the early 2000’s, God planted a seed in Marcia that she would birth programs geared towards women in an impactful way, but she didn’t know… Who? What? When? Where? Or How? Then in 2003, Michaella & Marcia met on the campus of Clark Atlanta University, through a step team affiliation within their freshman dormitory, Ware Hall. Although Michaella was an upperclassman, she was a staff member of the step team. As time passed, the two became friends and that quickly grew into a familial bond. Post-graduation both experienced mountaintop victories and valley low failures, but God was tilling their gardens. He was molding and growing both of them, with their own tailor-made trials and tribulations for their respective assignments ahead. During this time, they often discussed how therapeutic journaling was and how vision boards helped them focus their efforts and was an outlet for both of them.
In 2013, Marcia shared with Michaella that they were supposed to have a vision board event, not to be trendy, but to create an event that would be consistent and have milestones to hold attendees accountable. Michaella suggested that they marry the journal and vision board concept together. It was then, in a Barnes & Noble Café’ that the first vision book event started to take shape, “Write the Vision, Make It Plain Motivational Mixer.” Both were nervous about provisions, but soon shook off the fear and hearkened to God’s promise….He is Jehovah Jireh! He provided resources, spiritual support, financial support…literally, everything that was needed!
After their first sold-out event and armed with the attendees’ survey results, they were charged to create a community that would foster a supportive and genuine environment that empowered women to manifest in their lives with Christian principles. A couple of months passed and Marcia created the online- community of Women Blooming in Season and have been gaining momentum ever since. WBS is a community committed to empower, educate, & equip women and children from diverse backgrounds to boldly pursue their aspirations and walk in their god- assigned purpose through personal and professional development opportunities, and community service! We are “Women Blooming In Season ~ Sowing into Our Harvests!"
